Mulroy Bay Bridge opened on May 2009. Ardmore Precast supplied parapet fascia panels to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the bridge. These bespoke panels were manufactured to a very high standard using 60N concrete, with rebar protruding from the back of the panel so they could be cast in-situ to form part of the bridge.
The contractor also insisited on an exposed aggregate finish at the rear of the panel so the freshly poured concrete would form a stronger bond with the panel and create a seal so it would withstand the harsh weather elements that it would be exposed to.
